‘Time Flies’ – An Exhibition of Photographic Prints of Connemara Landscapes by Owen O’Connor

 

‘Time Flies’

The Blaithin De Sachy Art Gallery will be hosting an exhibition of photographic prints of Connemara Landscapes by award winning photographer Owen O’Connor.  These will include photographs inspired by Derrigimlagh, where Alcock and Brown’s plane landed in 1919 , successfully completing the first transatlantic flight and also the Marconi Station.  The Alcock and Brown Festival welcomes Owen O’Connor and his artistic appreciation of the Connemara Landscape.

Owen O’Connor

Owen O’Connor is an award winning photographer based in Ireland.  Since falling in love with the camera from a young age, he has maintained his goal…”to produce beautiful photographs of the highest technical standard and in a style, which is modern yet timeless”.  His work has appeared in a range of publications including The Star, Irish Tatler, Sunday World, Weddings Irish Style, The Irish Wedding Diary, The Examiner and Evening Herald. The quality of my work has been recognised by industry awards such as IPPA Portrait Photographer of the Year 2018, IPPA Best Fashion Portfolio 2012, IPPA Avante Garde Portrait Image 2008, IPPA Pictorial Image 2008, SWPP & BPPA Portrait Photographer of the Year 2007.
